The A-Class engines are true athletes – and thrifty too. The petrol engines are now even more powerful, while the specially developed diesel engines impress especially through the enormous torque they offer. The performance ranges from 60 kW (82 hp) up to 103 kW (140 hp). Top performance figures are also achieved by the A 200 TURBO with 142 kW (193 hp).(A 200 TURBO: fuel consumption combined: 7.9–8.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 187–192 g/km)[1]

 Ride Comfort

The A-Class doesn’t care where you are going. The selective damping system, together with the parabolic axle and the electronically controlled power steering, turns every trip into pure driving pleasure. The modified chassis, the wider track and the longer wheelbase all add to the ride comfort of this car. And of course the engines play their part too, delivering the kind of performance that need fear no comparison

Exterior

Our designers' goal was to give the A-Class Saloon a sporty presence. Dynamic forms and lines set the tone and cut a fine figure: there is the attractive and sporty front end with its sweeping clear-lens headlamps, the powerful feature line which emphasises the length of the vehicle as it rises steeply towards the rear, and the wide track with sculpted wings. This section of the side, in particular, gives the saloon its distinctive character.
